Before your tattoo

To help prepare

(1) Keep Hydrated & Moisturized

Don’t forget to keep your skin moisturized leading up to your tattoo appointment! And drink lots of water! If you tend to have dry skin, you might need to moisturize more often, 2-3 times a day. This will keep your skin healthy and ready to be tattooed!

(2) Keep out of the Sun

Avoid tanning and being in the sun in the weeks leading up to your tattoo appointment. If you are going to be in the sun, try and cover the area with protective clothing and use lots of SPF.

(3) Shave & Exfoliate

Exfoliate your skin! You can choose to shave yourself, or leave it for your tattoo artist, completely up to you!

(4) Eat

Please eat before your session! Not eating can increase your risk of feeling light-headed, or even passing out. Getting tattooed can cause you to get tired, set yourself up for success and get a nice meal beforehand (high protein is best!)

And bring snacks is you are coming in for a long session.

(5) Avoid Substances with Blood thinning properties

Avoid taking substances with blood thinning properties (i.e. drugs, alcohol, coffee, etc) at least 24 hours before getting tattooed
